Nintendo Collectors Journal 7/16/2010

Many people know that I’m a big Nintendo Fanboy and thus collect Nintendo games, goods, memorabilia and more.  If it says Nintendo on it, and it’s official, I want it.  That’s what the Nintendo Collectors Journal is for.  From this point on I’ll be documenting all the exciting Nintendo items I gather on my travels.  I come across things both new and old so be sure to check back to see what I’ve come across.

Nintendo Collectors Journal 7/23/2010

This week I was able to find two nice Nintendo T-Shirts from WalMart.  First is the Raccoon Mario shirt.  The second shirt I found was of Bullet Bill.  Both of these shirts were available in adult sizes and cost $7.50 USD a piece.  This is a really low price for official Nintendo T-shirts.  Similar shirts normally range from about $15 USD to $20 USD.

I also came across some Super Mario Fruit Snacks from Kellogg’s at my local food store.  These must be new due to the packaging that clearly says “NEW!”  They taste great but each package is a bit small.  I could probably eat the entire box in one sitting if I really wanted to.  A box containing 10 pouches went for $2.99 USD.

The fruit snacks reminded me of all the various Nintendo branded fruit snacks I’ve had over the years.  I can recall two other variations of Mario fruit snacks.  I remember the original version best because they had contests where eaters could win prizes by trying to find a blue Princess Toadstool fruit snack that could be sent in to win prizes.  I also remember Donkey Kong Country fruit snacks.  It would be great to see those again with Donkey Kong Country Returns coming out in the near future.

That’s all for now.  If you have any tips on some cool Nintendo stuff currently available let me know in the comments section below, and please be sure to check back soon to see what fun Nintendo items I gather up next!
