DC Universe Online Announces Pre-Order Program and Beta Registration

Sony Online Entertainment today announced the launch of their Beta registration process for DC Universe Online. Also announced was a PC Collectors Edition for all the old school die hard DC fans that are out there. Included in the Collectors Edition is;

  • A statue of the Batman, concepted by renonwned comic book artist Jim Lee. The statue depicts everyones favorite caped hero leaping from a building about to own a few evildoers.
  • A 56 page art book containing concept art, information on the game and insight into some of the areas players will be able to access
  • A limited edition DC Universe Online: Legends Issue #0 comic

Most major video game retailers will be offering pre-order incentives to gamers, all of which include the ability to play as Batman in the exclusive two-on-two combat arena. Some retailers will also be bundling the limited edition Issue #0 comic with pre-orders, so be on the look out for that. And to wrap it up, other retailers will also be offering a unique in-game weapon.     If I had a PlayStation 3 or a PC capable of playing games more advanced than Google Pac-man (even then, I think there might have been some slowdown), I’d be all over this.
