“I Pre-Ordered Scott Pilgrim vs. The World on PSN and All I Got Was This Lousy T-Shirt”

Scott Pilgrim has a comic book series (sort of a pseudo-manga tankobon/graphic novel thing, if one must be specific). Scott Pilgrim has a new movie coming out in only a matter of weeks. But before that hits theaters, Scott Pilgrim has a new video game coming out.
Incidentally, it looks pretty good. And only PlayStation 3 owners will get to enjoy it for the two weeks before it becomes available on the Xbox 360.
However, that’s not the only perk available to the Sony contingent. If one were to pre-order Scott Pilgrim vs. The World on the PlayStation Network, then they will also receive a bonus: one free t-shirt.
The catch? It’s a t-shirt for your PlayStation Home avatar.
Not as cool as a real Scott Pilgrim t-shirt, true, but before everyone starts quoting Mrs. Krabappel’s “pretty lame, Milhouse” line, one has to at least admire the irony of the shirt itself. Check it out:

That’s right: it’s not merely a Scott Pilgrim t-shirt, but a “Sex Bob-omb” t-shirt. So those who have it can not only indulge in the irony of playing a game about a character whose band is named after a Nintendo character on their PlayStation, but also that of wearing a shirt promoting said band into Sony’s avatar meeting ground.
Of course, that’s on top of all the other Nintendo-ish references Scott Pilgrim has. And that’s not even counting the movie’s use of songs and sounds from The Legend of Zelda. Think Sony was aware of any of this when they greenlit the game (and as a timed exclusive, no less)?
The only downside will be if other Home-goers somehow find a way to learn to fight and proceed to riot around you.
