NBA Jam gets Bundled with 360, PS3 Copies of NBA Elite 11

Looks like NBA Jam isn’t exclusive to the Wii after all, well, not entirely at least. Today Electronic Arts announced that all new copies of NBA Elite 11 will include a one-time download code that will allow gamers to access three modes of NBA JAM – Play Now, Classic Campaign and Online.

Now seeing that the three modes included with NBA Jam “demo” are the only ones that really matter, it’s actually a great deal for those who were wanting the game on 360 and PS3, and even better for those already planning on getting NBA Elite 11.

NBA ELITE 11 is going to change the way basketball videogames are played,” says Jordan Edelstein, Vice President, Marketing, EA SPORTS. “The addition of three free downloadable modes of the award winning NBA JAM is an unprecedented value add to a product that is already set to revolutionize the basketball videogame category”

I’m guessing EA will eventually sell NBA Jam on Xbox Live and PSN, but not anytime soon seeing that this will most likely boost sales for NBA Elite 11. And seeing that 2K Sports’ NBA 2K11 has Michael Jordan on the cover and has been the better basketball sim the past few years, EA is doing whatever it takes to be number on the virtual hardwood once again.

NBA Elite 11 is scheduled to hit retailers on October 5.
