Amazon Debuts Kindle Games!!

When you think of the Amazon Kindle, games are not the first thing to cone to mind. While the e-paper technology is perfect for reading books, newspapers, and magazines, the slow refresh rate is not particularly well suited to gaming.
Amazon is not letting the limitations of their device stop them from releasing games, however. This past week the kindle got two new games, both word-based and both free. The first title, Every Word, is similar to Boggle. The game requires you to create as many words as possible from a set of letters before time runs out. The second game is a single player version of Scrabble, Shuffled Row.
Both games are available for the second generation Kindle DX, and only available in the US. The games appear to have been developed in-house by Amazon themselves, but could this be the start of a new gaming platform? Amazon already has a robust online store, it wouldn’t be that hard for them to expand into a gaming market. Would you play games on a Kindle?
