Steam Begins QuakeCon 2010 Sale
Valve have announced today that to celebrate QuakeCon, the largest LAN event in North America, Steam will be holding four days of sales on all id and Bethesda titles on Steam.
Available throughout the four days will be the QuakeCon 2010 pack, which will cost you 75% less than if you decided to buy all the id and Bethesda titles on Steam. A great deal if you’re a big fan of RPGs and fast-paced shooters.
If you’re not interested in most of the games in the pack, Steam will also be offering 24-hour deals as well. Today is Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (and Deluxe Edition) at 66% off the normal price. I can’t recommend this game enough- I’ve played more Oblivion than any other RPG.
It managed to hook me with its massive and wonderful world, brilliant side-quest system, thousands of items, great voice acting (my little joke) and massive mod community. If you do take the plunge, start with this Wiki. It’s invaluable, and made the game 100 times more enjoyable for me.
