Test Drive Unlimited 2 Delayed to Early 2011

Atari and Eden Games have announced today that the much-anticipated millionaire simulator Test Drive Unlimited 2 will not be coming this year after all, but rather Q1 2011.
The Beta for the game has also been pushed back as a result of this- the new dates will be announced shortly. Plus, if you’ve already signed up, you’ll have access to ‘exclusive content’ in the final game.
Eden games cite the need for “a few extra months of polish” and making sure that they “deliver a robust and reliable online service from the day [they] go live.”
Pleasingly, the developer is noting that “TDU2 is a highly ambitious game and also very big. Since locking down the final features, some months ago, we have been busy getting the bugs out of the game, polishing all of the features to make the game as fun as possible.” It’s good to see more developers not just pushing out bad games and taking the time to make them better.
Of course, a new Call of Duty game is coming out this side of Christmas, and that’s tough competition.
