Bizarre Xbox 360 Glitch Unlocks Five XBLA Games

A recently-discovered glitch has apparently made it possible for owners of a certain hit Xbox 360 game to be able to play full versions of five titles from the platform’s Xbox LIVE Arcade Marketplace… that is, if you’re crooked.

Worthplaying reported the glitch, which appears to still be active. In fact, the glitch has been in effect all week, with Microsoft nor the games’ publishers seeming to pay it any mind at all, much less shut it down.

You can pursue this course if you wish (we’re not telling you how), but you should also consider the following first:

  1. You must own a copy of a certain game in order to perform the glitch. Granted, it’s a rather popular game, so this may not be a problem for most people.
  2. Reports are that the games are not permanently unlocked; the games reportedly remain as demos without the “key” game to unlock them.
  3. Microsoft may be mum on this now, but that probably isn’t going to last. If and when they take action, the possible banning of Xbox LIVE accounts or GamerTags which took part in this will probably not come as a surprise. Do you really want to risk it?

As you can tell, we really don’t endorse doing this.
