I love the game because it’s simple yet very advanced.

  • Pirrip

I’ve been waiting for this game to come out on the PS3 for ages, since I saw it on Xbox Live Arcade to be exact, I was so sad that I didn’t get myself an Xbox 360 instead, but then late July 2009.. something amazing happened ^__^ I heard the official announcement for Castle Crashers for the PS3 Oh yeah!! Since then, I’ve been waiting like a child for Christmas day, checking release dates all over the internet and reading articles from time to time… watching game-plays on YouTube made me even more ecstatic. I just feel in love with this game at first sight, I think… :) I’ve been trying to encourage my friends to get this game for the PS3 by showing them videos on YouTube and I have a good feeling that they’ll enjoy this game. I hope they get so we can play together. I’m so happy that the day is finally here.. August 31th.

Did you guys get my comment? I commented without registering and its not showing in the page

  • Darren Mauler

I like Castle Crashers because it’s great Co-op fun. May I win Swag now Mr. David Oshry?

  • Sharpless

I love Castle Crashers, because I like beat-em-ups, RPG-style leveling, quality humor, unlockables, and co-op. Boom. Done.

    The dialog.

  • Dave Oshry

oh ho ho, I see what you did there . . .

  • goodgamer77

    Unashamed poop jokes.

  • It’s Me

I love it because I don’t get cooties when I kiss the girls.

  • Mike

Why do I love Castle Crashers?

Because it was made by a man who has the last name Paladin. PALA-****ING-DIN. Try and get more badass than that, I dare you.

  • http://fowr.blogspot.com Anuvin

I love Castle Crashers because it represents everything about good gaming. Excellent value and replayability make it a heavy hitter. RPG elements mixed with fun beat-em-up style in a fantasy medieval setting create a mood that I haven’t felt since Zelda for SNES. I have been waiting, just like everyone else for this game to release, and now that the day has come I can hardly wait to grab it for myself, after looking longingly at friends 360s.

  • nickreaume

castle crashers is a game that i have devoted hours of my life to. it is the only game my ex and i would play together, and it’s one of the only games that’s amazing to have during parties. whenever anyone dies they take a shot, and during the kiss the princess fight, losers take a shot.

it was the first game i bought with microsoft points, and subsequently, the first game i bought all of the dlc for along with the dashboard themes.

castle crashers stands out among other games in a comical beatemup sense. and is just a wonderful, downright dandy game.

if i’m chosen as either first place or second place winner, i choose to be taken down to runner up status and promote someone else in my place due to not being able to put up posters or having silly, non theme matching items about the apartment. girlfriends are fun, but we have to cope somehow. [in return we didn't get purple paint for the bedroom!]

if that happens, can i just have a keychain? i’m rather fond of those.

that was all hypothetical, an “if i win” scenario. i don’t mean to be picky. i just don’t want your prizes getting wasted if i win.

  • Dave Oshry

So you are entering to win the keychains? hmm . . . we shall see Mr Nick . . . we shall see …

  • Solan

I love this game because it is such an awesome Beat-em-up game, and best of all it’s multiplayer. The cahracters are cool and original, and the art is just epic.long live the behemoth!

  • conor genovesi

I love castle crashers so much I have been checking the playstation store for the last couple of hours, damnit it’s still not there yet! when castle crashers ran for president I looked for the king or one of the knights on a ballot but couldn’t find it, (Or dan paladins name for that matter- see i was SMRT smart i was clever) and I love the king, by far my favourite character. that is how much castle crashers, that and swag I really do adore swag.

  • http://pigcorner.com Nikki

I love Castle Crashers because of the gameplay and the characters you get to play as. It’s such a fun game and very addicting. Saving the princesses get’s better every time I play it ^^ The weapons are awesome and I love how you get to use random items, such as a fish, to fight. The music is great as well. The whole experience is just the best thing ever!!

  • Ben

I’ve been following this game since it was released on xbox 360. I’ve always enjoyed old school hack n slash/beat’em ups. This game has awesome 2d artwork, co-op modes, and tons collectibles. For $15, what more can you ask for?

  • Wayne Fisher

Why do i love castle crashers? Hmmm, because its one of the best coop arcade games ever, as far as i know its the only 4 player Co-op rpg games on xbox live arcade. Me and my mates also invented a drinking game around it, basically we play on the hardest difficulty and buy the max ammount of potions then for every potion you use you have to drink 5 gulps of your beer and for every time you die you have to drink 10 gulps. Needless to say it took us quite a few drinking sessions before we finished the game :Dlol. But it was one of the most fun times I’ve ever had as the game is just full of humour, now were just awaiting more dlc :).

  • miicale

Innovative and classic, this game epitomizes the retro 80′s sidescrollers and coop. Finally retro makes a comeback!

  • George Blandino

I love Castle Crasher because I love deers that propel themselves at breakneck speeds using only the god given gift of POOP.

  • Nate

I love the game ‘casue of the sweet gameplay and art style

  • Luillo

I love Castle Crashers ‘cuz is the most stylish, crazy, bizarre game I’ve ever play in 2d!!!!!!!!! The animations are so smooth, the gameplay is top notch, it’s funny as hell (LITERALLY) oh oh and it’s more fun with friends, not all the games has all in just 1 pack. OH almost forgot…. it’s from Behemoth!!!!!

Also, is this contest only for US? Hope not… :( I’d be soooo so sad, such an amazing giveaway!

    CHEERS!

  • CBas

Owning only a PS3, Castle Crashers is one of the very few games I’ve been interested in from XBLA. It just looks like an all-around fun experience and ever since it was announced for PS3 last year I’ve been giddy with anticipation :)

  • Alec Gemmell

I like castle crashers because it’s a great game that supports local and online multiplayer, in both competitive and co-op forms. That’s not something you can say about most multiplayer games. I also like the art style and how it’s a throwback to old school beat em ups. Or maybe it’s the farting animals. Who knows.

  • brotroller

Once upon a time, four friends set out on an adventure that dawned, and concluded, in the dark recess of a living room. Many a time before, these friends had strove to complete their quest. They had lost comrades, formed new alliances, leveled up and stuff, and created an unbreakable bond. But on this historic morning our story starts, these four friends made a blood oath: to end their quest once and for all (for that day).

They started at the beginning (a very good place to start) once again, as they had many a time before. And yet each beginning proved just as exciting as the one before. Their journeys had never diminished, never lost flavor or fervor. And so they began their ultimate (but certainly not final!) journey with anticipation and joy.

They battled through rivers and woods, castles and cities, in snow and sleet and desert heat, but they never gave up. Their only inner strife was fighting to get some HAWT PRINCESS ACTION.

But even through it all, they combined their abilities: their strength, their magic, one of their maxed-out defense slots, and their unseemly adoration of small, fluffy, adorable things and together reached the end.

    The final battle.

    Well, battles.

They kept each other alive, for the good of all and for the sake of their friendship. It had been hours since they’d begun their quest for the hottest princess of all, and yet they had taken not one break (ok … one break for ice cream and stuff but still), moved not one muscle from their couch-base and they were NOT going to give up now. I mean, it took like a whole day!

So with eyes a-shining and many a manly yalp, they thrust their swords, their sledgehammers, their ice shards, their sandwich-enhanced-muscles into the boss they had sought for so long, and they defeated him.

And then they partied! And the night lived on in infamy, and will live on in infamy until they decide to undertake the journey again.

For that is what I love of Castle Crashers: its inherent ability to draw you in time and time again and never bore you or frustrate you or call you mean names and abandon you on your birthday. (And also a final princess with some really killer looks, amirite?)

With love, respect, and knightly duty,

    Brotroller

Castle Crashers for Playstation Network has been my most anticipated game of the year.

I had first been introduced to this game on X-BOX by my boyfriend at the time. As a designer and animator, myself, I had instantly fell in love with the art direction. There is a unique level of creativity in all of the characters (I’m especially fond of the bosses).

This is a great game to play with friends (which is why I’m infinitely pleased that there’s an option for PS3 to play online with virtual friends) and to play with significant others (if you have one).

Sadly, my boyfriend and I have since broken up — which is why I can’t wait to buy this game for myself!

  • DUDEWALK

I love Castle Crashers because I love fighting and adventure games a lot and it’s funny too.

  • Tommy John

I like Castle Crashers for its off-beat humor, it’s colorful, vibrant art, and its old-school stand up arcade gaming. But thats not why I love it.

When my best friend and I went away to college we found ourselves splitting up and traversing off to diffrent points of the country, maybe seeing each other 3 or 4 times a year. Now we’ve begun to settle down and get jobs, and its become even harder to see each other. But Castle Crashers remains as something we can still do together and have fun doing across rivers and mountain ranges.

Thank you for C.C. Behemoth, and we can’t wait for Battle-Block.

  • Chad Haney

I love Castle Crashers because Cornandbeans is AWESOME and what can be better than a bunch of knights fighting for goofy princess clowns and turning into rockets and shyt. :D That is just what everyone wants to be able to do.. And poop propelled deer are just the icing on the cake :D

  • Chris

I love Castle Crashers as a game due to the simplicity of concept, amazing characters, and near unlimited replay potential. I think those PS gamers are in for some shock when they find out what they have been missing out on.

I’ve been playing since it hit newgrounds, and waited ever so patiently for the 360 Arcade version… I think may go play a few hours right now.

  • KyleH

I love Castle Crashes because it is a unique game. When I played the demo I had fallen in love. Right after that I brought it not thinking if I had money in my bank or not. I could not wait. I then played the game till I had fallen asleep. When I woke up I played it more till I completed it. The graphics are amazing and this game makes me one day want to make a 2D game like this number one.

  • LeoThury

I love castle crashers because it showed me I don’t need to sleep as long as I have enough cofee and lives.

  • DD91

Castle Crashers is not a Game, its MY LIFE!!!! CC FTW!!!!

  • Eric

Castle Crashers has a special place in my heart for several reasons. First I have been a fan of Dan Paladin’s art style since his early days at Newgrounds. As a follow up to Alien Hominid, Castle Crashers is a near perfect rpg beat-em up. The creativity in the enemies, weapons and animal orbs gives it enough personality for it to stand out against any other games in the genre. The near endless replay value from unlocking all of the characters and the insane difficulty level gives me nearly infinite playing time. I love this game so much that even though I already own it on XBLA, I am going to buy it again on PSN so I can play co-op with my brother who only has a PS3. Throwing in extra modes also doesn’t hurt that decision. So really, how can you not love Castle Crashers when it far and away out does any other game like it.

Also owl/deer poop rockets aren’t bad either.

  • Ian Constantino

I love Castle Crashers because of its simple yet addictive gameplay, art style, humor, rpg elements, multiple characters, multiple weapons… its just great fun!

  • Ben H

Well, I played Alien Hominid on Newgrounds.com and it was like “GET IT FOR GAMECUBE!” and I was like “Hell yes!” so then I went on there site and I stayed tuned on there Devblog ever since I bought Alien Hominid. I’ve been waiting for almost a year for Castle Crashers to hit PS3 and frequently checked the Dev blog at least 5 times a week from then on. The thing I love about the Behemoth and Castle Crashers, is that they were daring enough to mortgage off there houses to make a 2D game in a time of 3D games and were successful. I also love the music that I still get stuck in my head, the insane hard difficulty that kept me playing and most of all the Art. I’ve been drawing for about a year now and alot of my inspiration was due to Dan Paladin. What can I say about the art?: I love the simplistic style and the colours are just GORGEOUS. Since they are indie game developers, and I want to make my own animated indie movie by the time I’m 25 they really help me keep going because I look at the amazing outcome that the Behemoth got for there skill and courage.
I love every inch of Castle Crashers and to be truthful it was hard for me to sleep last night knowing that what is going to be my new favorite game -which I had so eagerly waited for- was coming out the next day. To sum it up I love everything about even though I have not even played it.

  • Jonathan

i like castle crashers because its a “quick” fun arcade game worth my time and effort and is one of the most fun games ive played in a long time

  • Tommy

I love Castle Crashers because it’s just that damn awesome.

  • emilieevo

I love Castle Crashers because I don’t suck at it. Call of duty: I sucked, all the Halo games: I sucked, Resident Evil: Sucked. Pretty much all of the popular games fell to their demise in my hands. I also love that each level is never boring and everything just takes me by surprise. I love Dan Paladin’s style of art too.
I just love everything about this game.

I even bullied my younger brother into buying this game. He suffered until he played it.

P.S. Would it mean less to if I told you I was a girl?

  • Terrick Eto

Why do i love castle crashers? Simple, it has addictive gameplay, tons of humor, awesome characters, a awesome company making it, and…

    Beefy sandwhiches!

Who wouldn’t want all this in a game?

Also, ive been fans of Newgrounds since i was young, had Alien hominid on gamecube, and loved and beat that. The logical next step was obvious…Love castle crashers! I mean, its made by Dan the man paladin and Tom Fulp! those guys rule, always did, always will.

Hmmm… I love Castle Crashers because it not only brings gamers together looking for a great game, but it also brings friends and family together who normally don’t play videogames. I remember my Dad came in seeing me play this game and sat down to play a few levels with me, and he was hooked! It was amazing to see me and him playing a game cooperatively and just having some good old father-son time. I also constantly play this at sleepovers in four player co-op, or even start acting like assholes and start screaming at each other. Either way, this game has gotten me closer with my friends and family, I still play it to this day and never get tired of it! So in conclusion, Castle Crashers brings people together and that is why I love it! :3

  • mordac

Cuz it’s 4 player brawler mayhem that I can play with my friends.

  • Dave Oshry

+1 for playing with your dad!!

  • Ben

    Why I love Castle Crashers?
Not that difficult to answer man.

You get to kill some “things”, get animals that exists as orbs, buy weapons, use magic, save princesses, practically whack everything in your sight.

I mean, where else are you gonna experience this?

And what’s not to be missed, is QUAFFING!
    -SPAMMAGE OF BUTTONS-

  • Dave Oshry

    +1 for mention of quaffing!!

  • Danny blancas

i love castle crashers because its an incredibly fun game that can be played for hours with friends andwhen your done playing you feel like you accomplished an amazing feat. Castle crashers is probally one of the best games to give you that old school beat ‘em up feel while at the same time giving you a new and fresh combat style and weapons you care about so much stat and stle-wise.

  • Dale

I LOVE castle crashers because it is the perfect mixture of action, leveling up, and humor! Also I know i love castle crashers because i played for about 2 hours yesterday and all i can think about is playing MORE! Which leads me to a revelation…The more i love castle crashers the less i like work! Amazing game!

  • http://www.twitter.com/xtyincognito Kristy

    yey. (^_^)

Bought the game last night — time to rescue some Princesses and try out Wayne Fisher’s drinking game!

  • Cleaner7

In a gaming world filled with endless sequels Castle Crashers was a breath of fresh air. Combining cartoony visuals with ultra violence created a unique experience not available anywhere else. Combined with Behemoth’s quirky sense of humor and character art and easy to learn gameplay and you have the first title on XBLA worth that was worth the $15 asking price. Not only did the game have local & online co-operative campaign but competitive multiplayer too. With the multiple characters and extensive XP progression the game is endlessly replayable. Not to mention it’s fun to join a game with friends and slaughter countless cute enemies with your various weapons while aided by even cuter animal orbs. Castle Crashers has a winning formula that has yet to be matched on any downloadable platform and that’s why I love it! Unlike most games I always find myself coming back to Castle Crashers instead of tossing it aside and forgetting about it because there is always something to do. With the release on PSN with improved settings I can’t wait to become immersed in the world again!

  • mynameisblair

I love it because even though I have played it loads on my Xbox 360, I still can’t wait to get it on PS3!
