Gears of War 3′s ‘Fate of Carmine’ Charity Raises $150K

Gears of War 3 developers Cliff Bleszinski and Rod Fergusson have reported that the “Fate of Carmine” charity has raised $150,000 for Child’s Play Charity.

The charity event which ended September 1, allowed gamers to buy avatar shirts with “SAVE CARMINE” or “CARMINE MUST DIE” on them to choose the fate of Carmine in Gears 3. The contributions made from the shirts were then given to the Child’s Play Charity. The shirts are still available for purchase.

What isn’t being revealed, however, is the fate of Carmine. I suppose we’ll have to wait and see what happens to Carmine when Gears of War 3 hits stores on April 5, 2011 in North America and April 8th, 2011 in Europe.
