Glitch Ruining Metroid: Other M For Some Players (Updated with Video)

A glitch involving a locked red door in Metroid: Other M is apparently ruining the game for many players.

The glitch appears in Sector 3 after a boss battle. Reportedly after the battle,  players are to progress north through a red door which some have found permanently closed.

Gameplay is effected because players can’t progress and are forced to restart the game with a new save file.  There has been no word on a possible solution.

Let’s hope Nintendo can fix this soon.

    This is a very real glitch that I’ve been through, the only fix was to start a new file (so far anyone that’s had this happen hasn’t had it happen to them twice). For additional sources here’s a youtube vid of the glitch.
