Dead Rising 2: Case Zero Hits Over 300K Xbox Live Downloads

Xbox 360 gamers have downloaded over 300,000 copies of the Dead Rising 2 prequel Case Zero, according to GamerBytes.

Case Zero, a Xbox 360 exclusive and only 400 Microsoft Point (that’s $5) to download, replaced the traditional demo that developers usually release and Capcom cashed in by doing so. Based on the strong sales of Case Zero thus far (it was only released last Tuesday), GamerBytes speculates more publishers could take the paid-demo or prequel approach.

Set three years before Dead Rising 2, Case Zero serves as an intro to Chuck Greene, the new hero for the sequel. Look out for Dead Rising 2 on September 28.
