Zombies (Pretty Much) Confirmed for Call of Duty: Black Ops

When another Treyarch Call of Duty title was announced, it left everyone with the same question in mind: “Will the game have a co-op zombie mode?” While no official confirmation has been given, it looks like some information to this puzzle is trickling out.

Josh Olin, Community Manager for Treyarch, answered some questions regarding the rumors and confirmed Black Ops will at least have co-op. When asked if that co-op will include a zombie mode, he answered:

“If Zombies have anything to do with our top-secret Co-Op mode, then it’s a safe bet there will be a trailer for it eventually…”

He then posted on his Twitter account in relation to zombie mode:

“All 4 existing Zombies maps will be included in Hardened & Prestige editions of as callback co-op levels!”

Personally, I will find it very surprising if there is no zombie mode in Black Ops after these recent hints. It is a shame we didn’t get an official confirmation, but I’m sure there will be a full reveal in no time.

    Wow, I really hope there are Zombies in Black Ops. Not having Zombies is just a stupid idea. If Treyarch didnt include Zombies, they have not only ruined half the game but also disapointed lots of people. If Treyarch arn’t including Zombies, Treyarch has to look at the community and see how many people there going to let down by not including Zombies.

      I can’t really say much about Black ops having zombies because i never played yet or World at War zombies, but there seem to be a lot of games that have zombies.

    The hype about zombie mode is really intensifying across the internet, could this be a marketing strategy? I have been monitoring http://codblackopstips.info/ as they seem to be posting the most recent trailer releases.

      It’s more or less confirmed. They can’t drop this many hints and NOT do it. It would be an insult to the fans at this point.
