DC Universe Online Delayed Until Early 2011
Sony Online Entertainment has just announced the delay of DC Universe Online. No official date has been given, but we are told sometime “early 2011.”
DC Universe Online is heading into external beta testing and that extra time will SOE to take community feedback and smooth out any issues along the way.
Beta codes will go out as early as next week to players with VIP key cards and those registered on DCUO‘s website. Futhermore, anybody that has pre-ordered the game before November 15th will be assured access to the beta by November 30th.
With this bad news, comes some good. SOE has announced a Collector’s Edition for the PS3. It will include the same items included in the already announced PC version:
- DCUO Batman statue
- Limited edition Art of DC Universe Online art book
- DCUO Legends Issue #0 comic book with a Jim Lee variant cover
- DCUO Prestige comic presentation of the DCUO back-story
- Limited edition Jim Lee-drawn poster Version of the Issue #0 comic book variant cover
