Stockholder Drops Support for Square-Enix
Square-Enix has been on a mediocre game releasing spree, and it’s definitely showing in their stock. One man, who happened to own 1% of the company, sold all of his shares after seeing Final Fantasy XIV’s quality.
“First thing in the morning tomorrow, I intend to instruct those who manage my precious SquareEnix stock (however little it may be) to arrange to sell all of it. To Square, thank you for the enjoyment of your products up until now, with the exception of this last one. Goodbye.”
Five days later, Square-Enix’s stock dropped $26 million. It’s not hard to tell by the numbers that consumers are unhappy with the company, as seen here and here, their value has steadily been dropping. Honestly, considering the poor quality of the games they have released in the past few years, I don’t blame them.
