APB Saved From the Grave?

I myself entered into the open world “MMO” All Points Bulletin and in all honesty, RTW’s closure and discontinuation of the game came as no surprise to me.  However, the patcher for the game announced that there may be hope yet. The patcher read;

“The negotiations continue! Still many groups in the fray, still hope that APB will rise again.”

Ben Bateman who was formerly one of  the community managers for APB re-tweeted the patch notes, giving them some credence. Ben has since moved onto a job at Codemasters, though that could be irrelevant to the current state of APB. I’d very much like to see APB make a comeback, the game had solid fun ideas with deep customization however the execution was sloppy and poor which could’ve ultimately led to the game dying out.

    Oh man I hope APB makes a come back. This game was a blast for the shooter community I think. Just marketed it to MMO’ers which I still believe was a bad idea.

    Every time I think about this game and how much fun I had.. I get a little angry because I can’t fire it up and play.

    While it was hugely broken,somehow i found myself having a tonne of fun with APB. I’d love for another company to pick it up and work the kinks out.
