Super Meat Boy Music Creator Donating Half of Sales to Multiple Sclerosis Research
Super Meat Boy music creator, Danny Baranowsky, is donating soundtrack sales this weekend to Multiple Sclerosis research. The main reason behind this is because his sister has been recently diagnosed with MS and he wants to help the cause. From November 6-7, 50% of all sales of the full soundtrack, including remixes, will be donated.
Danny B has worked on other indie games, including Canabalt, which you can play here or purchase on iTunes. Half of any sales of Canabalt’s soundtrack will be donated as well.
Here is the full post from the SMB blog:
Hi everyone!
I’m Danny, I did the soundtrack for Super Meat Boy. A few years ago, my sister was diagnosed with MS – Multiple Sclerosis. If you aren’t familiar with MS, it’s basically a degenerative brain disease. you can
get more info about MS and my sister here -http://main.nationalmssociety.org/site/TR/Walk/AZAWalkEvents?px=4157667&pg=personal&fr_id=14302Tomorrow, November 6, 2010 is the MS Walk. In honor of this, and because my sister is such a badass and the kindest, most incredible person on the planet, I want to donate half of all the sales from my Bandcamp Music Page for that day. From 5 PM MST (12am GMT) Saturday, Nov 6 to Sunday Nov 7th, 50% of ALL sales on http://dBsoundworks.bandcamp.com will be donated to the MS Society to help find a cure. This includes Super Meat Boy! (MeatBoyMusic.com), Canabalt (CanabaltMusic.com) and all other soundtracks.
If you’ve been waiting to buy any of my soundtracks, now would be a great time for a great cause!
Thanks so much!

If you haven’t downloaded the soundtrack yet, please check it out. Super Meat Boy’s soundtrack is some of the best retro music I’ve heard in ages. The digital album is only $3.99.
