Kinect Hacked, Open Source Drivers Available For Download
Not long after MS Kinect became available on shelves, it was hacked like all things inevitably are. Yesterday, the hacker posted a video proving that he was able to run Kinect on Linux and fully operate the depth and RGB cameras.
Check out the video proof below. If you are so inclined, you can download the drivers here and test them out yourself.
If Microsoft or third-party companies won’t fully utilize the potential of Kinect, then maybe some indie PC developers can make some cool stuff with this hack.
