Remember Cooking Mama: Mama Kills Animals? What about Super Chick Sisters? For a while now, PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, has been creating parody versions of popular videogames in an attempt to display the benefits of veganism and the downfalls of eating meat. Their latest parody, Super Tofu Boy, takes on Super Meat Boy.
The game plays more or less exactly like the latter and in it, Super Tofu Boy is the hero, rescuing Bandage Girl from her angry ex, Super Meat Boy. I’m not entirely sure why they went after Super Meat Boy. Controlling a disgusting ball of meat and sliding all over walls and floors didn’t exactly make me crave a burger, and furthermore, Super Tofu Boy isn’t exactly making me crave bean curd.
But if this sounds like your thing, you can play it here.
How does Team Meat feel about this? According to their Twitter feed, ecstatic.
“Holy shit, Peta made a Tofu parody game of Super Meat Boy…my dreams have come through!”
I’m certain he meant “true,” and that he was just too excited to type.
UPDATE: Team Meat’s twitter feed has been abuzz with comments and zingers directed at PETA.
“Attention!: There is no way we can be upset by the f(r)ee advertising Peta is giving us, besides we made tofu boy 1st! http://bit.ly/dWWrdx”
“How many Peta members does it take to change a lightbulb?…. None, Peta can’t change anything.”
More as it develops!
