Knight’s Contract To Be Released Early 2011

Earlier today, Namco-Bandai announced that their upcoming 3rd person action game, Knight’s Contract will be released sooner than anyone had expected.
The release is currently set for the 22nd of February, 2011.
The game follows a character named Heinrich, who happens to be an executioner immortalized by a Witch named Gretchen. The duo must fight to rid the land of all sorts of nasty beasts and creatures, whether it be Heinrich’s physical prowess kicking demon ass, or Gretchen’s magic decimating everything in sight. Just make sure she doesn’t die though, as her magical prowess and “morality” is key to the duo’s survival.
The game is loosely based on Grimm’s fairy tales and it’s been said that at some point you will fight Repunzel who will attack you with her hair. Seriously.
RipTen editor Dave Oshry saw Knight’s Contract in pre-alpha at a local Namco press event and is very surprised the game is coming out so soon:
“From what I saw, the game was still in the early stages of development, how they’re going to crank it out by February I have no idea . . .”
