Crytek’s upcoming blockbuster, Crysis 2, has been leaked all over the web just about a month from the official release. The leak includes the full Campaign, Multiplayer and the Master-keys to activate the product for online use. The current build leaked online is late beta however, though the full game is basically there – it’s not the final or finished product.
EA had this to say on their official facebook page;
“Crytek has been alerted that an early incomplete, unfinished build of Crysis 2 has appeared on Torrent sites. Crytek and EA are deeply disappointed by the news. We encourage fans to support the game and the development team by waiting and purchasing the final, polished game on March 22. Crysis 2 is still in development and promises to be the ultimate action blockbuster as the series’ signature Nanosuit lets you be the weapon as you defend NYC from an alien invasion. Piracy continues to damage the PC packaged goods market and the PC development community.”
In the modern age of gaming these things are often inevitable, but not a whole month before launch. Our thoughts are with the guys at Crytek/EA, and we hope anyone who pirated the game burns in hell ya scurvy dogs!
