Warner Bros and Double Fine have announced that a Kinect-based Sesame Street title will be coming out in the Autumn.
Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster will be aimed at young players, letting them explore a ‘living storybook’ via the Kinect camera.
I’m going to quote this next part exactly from the press release, so there’s no confusion: “Parents and children literally become part of the whimsical storybook adventure by getting active together through dancing, jumping, flying and more.”
That’s right, kids! You will literally become part of the adventure. No more of this “playing” nonsense that games have been doing. No, this game is even skipping virtual reality and going straight to literally putting kids into the scenes. Brilliant.
Don’t worry, I’m just being whimsical (like the storyline!). Combining Double Fine and Sesame Street sounds like a genuinely brilliant idea.
