
EA has confirmed it has axed development on Mirror’s Edge 2 because early prototypes were deemed disappointing.
In a conversation with Press 2 Play, EA’s Patrick Soderlund admitted he enjoyed the series but the poor sales of the original was a factor.
Here’s what Soderlund said translated from Swedish,
EA was shown a prototype, but declined with askance. The project has been stopped – involved parties at DICE are working on something else now.
RIP Mirrors edge, you deserved more.
