“The Mummy” Producer Already Bought the Rights to a Dead Island Movie!?
It’s been only days since the haunting trailer for Dead Island has gone viral – but reports of a movie deal already being inked have started to surface.
According to HitFix – Sean Daniel, producer of The Mummy, The Scorpion King and The Wolfman, has already bought the rights to turn the game into a Hollywood blockbuster.
According to them:
Daniel is a tenacious producer, the sort of guy who can really muscle something through the development process, so if he’s onboard and convinced there’s a movie in “Dead Island,” we should plan on actually seeing it get made.
Can this be true? Could the movie rights have been sold this fast!? We have our doubts.
