S2 Games Says, “Come Get Some” Valve – Hires Jon St. John for HoN

Remember how and when the world realized Valve was making DotA 2?  That’s right – Jon St. John let the cat out of the bag.  If you don’t remember – we covered the story way back when.  However, we also recently learned that Jon had been hired for voice work on four other games!  We speculated as to what they might be – but we never imagined he would be hired to do voice work for DotA’s biggest competitor – S2 Games Heroes of Newerth.

John is the voice of the new Badass announcer pack (It’s the one with the Balls of Steel icon) – available today via HoN’s in-game store.

Unfortunately, it’s not the Duke Nukem voice pack I was hoping for – but as you can see, Jon let’s a little Duke shine through in some of the lines.

Now, while it’s somewhat surprising that nobody would question Jon doing voice work for two games in the same genre that will literally be competing on a daily basis for the same userbase – keep in mind that Jon will pretty much say whatever you want for $50 bucks.  No, seriously – JON ST. JOHN WILL SAY ANYTHING YOU WANT FOR $50 BUCKS.

Meanwhile, if you’re not a badass and are instead looking for a much more FAPtastic announcer pack, I highly recommend the MsPudding pack.  I could listen to her say “Massacre” all day. /nerdswoon

If you’re wondering why I didn’t mention League of Legends in this post it’s because LoL is for nubs and they can all GTFO!!  Just kidding, I have plenty of friends that play LoL and they love it  . . . mostly because they’re not good enough to play HoN!! :-p
