DiRT 3 to Feature Group B Rally Cars

Codemasters have released a trailer showing off the fact that Dirt 3 will include a selection of the greatest rally cars ever made: the ones from Group B.

Group B was so fast, they say, that it was banned for being too dangerous. Of course, that doesn’t matter in a game, so bring on the Lancias, Audis, and fast Fords of the rally golden years.

 

It’s brilliant to see these cars back in a game. I stopped playing Dirt 2 once I realised there was such a shite selection of cars in the game, so to see that I’ll be able to drive the best rally cars ever again is fantastic. It looks like Codemasters are trying their hardest to interest actual rally fans back- let’s just hope they don’t mess it up with “cool” or “trendy” menus and moronic rivals like they did in Dirt 2.

          There are many rally drivers past and present who are WAY better than Ken Block. But what he has done for the popularity of the sport in recent years, especially in the states, is awesome.
