Mortal Kombat DLC to be Released Within the Next Month

Ed Boon, creator of Mortal Kombat, has revealed that DLC will be available for the newest installment of the game “in the next few weeks.” It’s reported to contain a patch for balance changes, another playable character: Skarlett, and some other free stuff.

He told G4:

“We really want to make the patch coincide with the first DLC that’s going to come out, so the Skarlett character is going to contain, not only her, but some free stuff and all the patch changes for balancing… Certainly within the next month, but the next few weeks I’d say.”

Skarlett being in Mortal Kombat 9 isn’t really news — she was announced on March 27, and it wasn’t even surprising at that point since she had been outed earlier than that.

But yay, more girls. Hopefully Skarlett will kick ass and have an awesome fatality or two.
