Final Persona Game Finally Coming to North America
Atlus has just announced that Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 2: Innocent Sin will finally be making its debut in North America, with enhancements to hopefully make it worth the wait.
Some of the new features include improved and remastered visuals, a 16:9 aspect ratio, and a new intro animation. The audio will also be remastered, and there will be an option to have a remixed version of the musical score, or the original.
The interface will also be redone to make it more streamlined. While the story will remain the same, added quests should be expected, as well as other features.
Persona 2 takes place in Sumaru City, Japan, where the story’s protagonists attend Seven Sisters High School. Rumors begin to circulate regarding a curse on the school emblem: anyone who wears it is punished with a disfigured face. The protagonists must harness their personas to combat the strange phenomena occurring around the city, while working on understanding the cause.
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 2: Innocent Sin is set to release in fall of this year and can be pre-ordered here… eventually.
Until then, here are some screenshots to tide you over:
