E3 2011: ‘Vita’ it is – Sony Confirms, Prices, and Details

Don’t say we didn’t tell you…because we did.  In a rumor we reported a little more than a week ago we revealed information given to us through a trusted source…and our source was correct!

Tonight at  Sony’s E3 addressSony revealed the handheld’s final name – PS Vita.

Sony’s NGP will have dual touch pads, dual cameras, and an OLED screen.  Not to mention excellent games like Uncharted: Golden Abyss.

The PS Vita will have a feature called “Near” which will allow users to find other gamers playing the same game.

Vita will be available in a Wi-Fi and 3G/Wi-Fi model. AT&T will be the exclusive mobile carrier for the United States,

The PlayStation Vita Wi-Fi model is priced at US$249, and the 3G/Wi-Fi model is $299.

The Vita has not been given a release date but should be available before the end of 2011.

    After the price was made official, I went from a maybe to a yes on buying this device.  So cheap for so much technology.
