Hard Corps: Uprising 50% Off – Why Don’t You Own It Yet?

Do you want to go back to the glory days of yester-year?  When you were a young sprite in a CiCi’s pizza or arcade begging your mom for more quarters to put into a classic arcade shooter like Galaga?  I can’t give you your youth back (hey, me first), but I bet that when your mom reads about how awesome this deal is on Hard Corps: Uprising and X-Men Arcade, she’ll want to fork over a few bucks. You know, for old times’ sake.

Konami has announced that their most recent downloadable titles Hard Corps: Uprising and X-Men Arcade are going on sale for a limited time on the Xbox Live Arcade Marketplace. The sale started yesterday (June 28th) and will run through July 4th, with both titles being marked down 50% of the original retail price.

That means Contra Hard Corps: Uprising will be 600 Microsoft (imaginary money) Points and X-Men Arcade will be 400 Microsoft (banana buck) Points.

If you’re wanting to get your hands on feverish Galaga-style gameplay for you and a friend, this is the way to go.  You can play as one of two options:  the slower, super-soldier Bahamut or the faster, more agile, Crystal character.  Take your character in the classic Arcade Mode like the good old days with a set amount of continues and lives, or move over to Rising Mode:  where the player’s progress is tracked, allowing the player to upgrade their assortment of weapons as they take on the 8 levels in Hard Corps: Uprising.  Check out the trailer, you know you want it.
