TimeGate Shows Off Impressive Section 8 Stats

TimeGate Studios recently decided to show off the success of Section 8: Prejudice (known from hereonout as S8: P), having been released for just 11 weeks, with some good ol’ stat whoring.

Using data collected with GameSpy Technology, TimeGate shows that the game is buzzing with activity. Players have scored over 57.5 million kills and fallen 328 billion meters, approximately 203.8 billion miles for the only part of the world that still uses the English system.

Most impressive is the stat that shows that S8: P offers 3.49 trillion different loadouts or configurations for weapons, gears, and upgrades. Apparently, it would take a player playing 15 minute matches over 100 million years to play each of these loadouts, which is an extraordinary statistic attesting to the amount of versatility that TimeGate wanted their players to have in selection. Still, I’m fairly certain that most gamers find a loadout that they like and then stick with it for most of their playing career, but having the choice of never using the same loadout twice, unless you happen to be a part of the undead and have millions of years to play a game, is pretty nice.

Here’s all of the statistics included in a nice little infographic from GameSpy:
