Released Image Teases New City of Heroes Storyline

City of Heroes is gearing up to get into the free-to-play space pretty soon, but it sounds like there’s more in store for this superhero MMO. NCSoft has sent Comic-Con attendees the teaser image you see above to prepare them for their presentation of City of Heroes Freedom at Comic-Con. There’s nothing concrete yet, but it looks like the game may be embracing its comic book roots by including storylines seen in the comic books of today, including the death of a major character in the CoH universe.

Of course, with that said, there’s a high probability that whoever dies will be resurrected either physically or spritually, as is the case with plenty of comic book heroes.
