Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
(known forthwith as UMvC3 because the original title is just too damned long to type), slated for a November release, was originally intended to be DLC for Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

However, due to unforeseeable circumstances such as the Tohoku earthquake and staff health issues, UMvC3 was changed to a standalone title, at a lower price.

Considering that UMvC3 was meant to be a DLC, the lowered price ought to be somewhere in the $20 range, right? Nope. UMvC3 is going to be released at the “lowered” price of $40. After all, UMvC3 is now a standalone title, which allows Capcom to justify a higher price than a DLC.

Capcom plans on adding some DLCs for UMvC3, such as new costumes and new modes. Still, with the release date being only months away, I wonder if it’s worth paying $40 for some DLCs stacked on top of a DLC.
