Atlus Announces Persona 4: The Golden For PlayStation Vita

Famitsu has finally revealed the nature of Atlus’ mysterious new teaser site. Persona fans saw it coming, but this is news to the rest of the world: Persona 4 will be ported to the Vita as Persona 4: The Golden and make use of the Vita’s wireless capabilities, offering multiplayer support. Close to death? Summon a friend to save you. Your JRPG just got a little more social.

The port will include brand new anime cut scenes, 1.5 times more voice overs, a new character known as “Marie,” new soundtrack, new opening move, and a yet-to-be-revealed feature.

According to Famitsu, this mystery addition is something fans have requested, but I’m drawing a blank. Perhaps they’ll go the way of Persona 3 Portable and give us a female main character? Yeah, that would be sweet. Keep your eyes on the Tokyo Game Show for upcoming details.
