Infinity Ward Confirms There Can Be Only One MW3 Collectors Edition

Since the release of Modern Warfare 2, each Call of Duty game has had a Prestige Edition. They aren’t just known for that, but also for having something worth $150 that’s also batshit insane. Based on recent history, I’d have thought that MW3′s Prestige Edition would come with a spy plane or a working ACR, but it looks like that won’t be happening at all. Infinity Ward employee Robert Bowling recently tweeted that the Hardened Edition would be the only collector’s edition for the game.

“The Hardened Edition of #MW3 will be the only collectors edition available this year.”

There you have it folks.  For $99 dollars, the Hardened Edition is yours. It doesn’t get any better than that. Seriously, they didn’t make a better version. Sure, you still get that year of CoD Elite, but it doesn’t look like you’ll be flying around a remote-controlled jet anytime soon. Does this mean anything to you?

Modern Warfare 3 will be available on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on November 8.

    honestly theres only one way to look at this;

    If you are going to buy all the dlc:
    you shouldnt hesitate to buy the hardened edition, as it will be cheaper overall, you get premium cod elite free for 1 year, founders status, and you get the dlc before everyone else

    if you arent going to buy the dlc:
    you probably shouldnt get the hardened edition as it is obviously more expensive and you probably wont use all the other features made available by cod elite

    thats a shame. i like the prestige edtions. i alway buy the limted edtion. i dont really care about call of duty elite so come on give us a better version. and with the free maps will the ps3 get it at the same time as xbox? the hard version it is then.

    if you look at the numbers you would realize that there is more people in cali and ny that bye xbox and ps3 games than all of europe if you dont believe me look it up thats why they dont make stuff or send stuff there its a waste of time and money
