The end of September can be described as “Attack of the HD Classics” with a number of key HD updated releases hitting retail stores this week.

In gamers can replay the series that re-invented the stealth genre in HD. The trilogy includes Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. The  brings two of the PlayStation 2′s most  highly acclaimed action adventure games in high definitionand which includes ICO and Shadow of Colossus. Both the Splinter Cell and Ico collections are PS3 exclusives. brings Classic PS2 and Dreamcast Zomie killing action to both the PSN and Xbox360.

The big multiplats this week include   and  for the PS3, PC, Wii. X-Men Destiny gives players the ability to make choices to decide the ultimate destiny of new young mutants. FIFA Soccer 12 is the Madden of soccer, featuring the most recent line-ups to the best teams in the world.

Pick of the Week: Not a tough choice this week. Many of the big releases are HD updates of games I have played already. As a longtime fan of Marvel’s super powered mutants, X-Men Destiny is an easy choice.
