These Are The Skyrim PC System Requirements

You’ve waited long enough. Bethesda has finally revealed the PC system requirements for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

They are noticeably low.

Hooray! You can run Skyrim! Your inner Dragonborn is pleased!

Recommended Specs

Windows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit)
Processor: Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU
4GB System RAM
6GB free HDD space
DirectX 9 compatible NVIDIA or AMD ATI video card with 1GB of RAM (Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 or higher; ATI Radeon 4890 or higher).
DirectX compatible sound card
Internet access for Steam activation

Minimum Specs

Thats very low, I know a lot of people that will now be getting this on PC, after I tell them the good news =)

My PC is fine though, seeing as it can run BF3 on Ultra at 50-60 fps =)

Even if my PC could handle it, (it lets me down A LOT!) i would probably still play it on my console, just because i’m used to playing (Fallout and such) for hours and hours on a big screen sitting in my loungy couch.

+ I share this computer with family + if it doesnt have a demo i don’t even dare to buy it for my PC.

If those specs are all that is needed to get the most out of the graphics, then I suspect this is going to be a poor console port. We haven’t seen any PC gameplay footage either. So, I’ve cancelled my pre-order and will wait for reviews…

all this stuff usually goes over my head, but i remember installing 2gb of RAM in my old computer.

that was apparently a large amount.
