Death Rises: New Darksiders II Trailer
From the moment I heard there would be a sequel to Darksiders, easily one of my favorite games of 2010, my head began to spin with questions. How would it improve? What would the play style of a new character be like? Would it retain the same formula that made the original so much fun or would Vigil Studios and THQ try to please the naysayers who knocked the game’s borrowing mentality?
There’s a Darksiders event going on right now in San Francisco, but most of that information is hush hush, so despite my wanting to spill the beans to you right now, you’re going to have to wait a few more days to hear all the details. What I can share with you is the sweet video below that was released today. Surprisingly, I found that it answered most of the questions I had about the transition from War to Death, and it even went a step beyond that bringing some new aspects to light that I didn’t even think of. Where War was more of a mixture of He-Man and Link, Death is a combination of Bruce Lee and The Grim Reaper. It may sound strange, but it looks really freaking cool. In short, the team at Vigil seems to have their finger on the pulse of their fans and another potential hit on the horizon.
