Having a girlfriend in Love Plus is serious business. With tomorrow’s launch of the New Love Plus, Konami is making dating sims creepier, one email and screenshot at a time.

Love Plus‘s Love Plus Tools will allow those who have played Love Plus to carry over their data into New Love Plus and make life-sized prints of their virtual girlfriends. It’ll be perfect for that romantic Valentine’s evening you wanted just with you, your left hand, and your virtual girl.

New Love Plus is also integrating a new feature to bring your virtual girlfriend further into your lonely reality by introducing a new email feature. For 315 yen (or $4) a month, you can receive “Girlfriend Mail”, which are emails from your virtual girlfriend. Game data is linked to Girlfriend Mail, so any “pet names” from the game will be carried over into the email, to make you feel like you’re a special snowflake.

Then again, it can’t be all bad. At least virtual girlfriends require less time and money.
