Armored Core V ‘Doomsday’ Trailer has Big Cores and Bigger Pew Pews!
I was such a huge fan of the Armored Core series back in the day. The first two were absolutely amazing, I spent countless hours tweaking my core until it was perfect. I always wanted to see how it would hold up online but the game became so difficult to play as more and more versions released that I lost all interest. Well, now I’m curious thanks the latest video. Armored Core can make a triumphant return if they get the control scheme down.
The video also shows a much wider variety of units from what I remember. Choppers and foot troops are two things I don’t remember making any impact in the earlier versions of the game. The in-game footage is looking pretty smooth, as well. Give us the crazy amount of options from the early entries, with a solid multiplayer experience and we may have the relaunch this series deserves. From Software, of Dark Souls fame is set to release Armored Core V on March 20, 2012, for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Color me cautiously optimistic right now, but hopefully giddy with excitement when the game arrives.
