Evidence Shows That The ‘Phoenix Wright’ Movie Is Coming Stateside

When reading about the Ace Attorney feature-length film, one would expect it to be littered with the iconic lines from the game, but we decided to take the classy route and abstain.
Hold it! No freaking way we’d pass that up.
Ace Attorney, directed by controversial Japanese filmmaker Takashi Miike, debuted in Japan earlier this month. Now, the film is coming to North America and will be played during the AM2 convention in Anaheim, California — but no one is expected to see it.
Objection! That theater will be packed with both hardcore fans and the just plain curious. The hairstyles alone are worth a gander.
The story structure is based around Capcom‘s first Phoenix Wright game and is written by an actual cop and courtroom drama writer, Takeshi Iida. The trailer depicts the spirit and craziness the series is known for — everything from its eccentric, colorful characters to VFX of the iconic lines we’ve so delicately hidden throughout this article. You can check that out and more in the trailer. Wanna see it?
Take that!
There will be two exclusive screenings held at the Anaheim Convention Center, one for passport holders (full 3-day pass) only and one where pass holders will get first go, followed by the general audience as seating permits.
There is no word on whether a worldwide theatrical release is planned for Ace Attorney, but expect that a positive response from the convention may lead to one. The AM2 convention lasts from June 15-17, so snag your tickets now if you’re aching to get of dose of the wacky courtroom action.
