Stuff That Never Gets Old: Mercenaries 2 – “Oh No You Didn’t!”

Back in 2008, the now defunct Pandemic Studios released the much anticipated sequel to Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction entitled Mercenaries 2: World in Flames.

The game was almost universally deemed as mediocre by critics and sold rather underwhelmingly.

However, leading up to the release of Mercenaries 2, the world was treated to a marketing campaign that nobody saw coming.  A hip hop musical performed by the Wojahn Brothers that stands the test of time as one of the most brilliant and catchy themes for a video game ever created.  I’m speaking of course, about “Oh No You Didn’t!”

As an added bonus, here’s Peter Stormare (the voice of Mattias the Swedish mercenary) singing the song:

So, while Mercenaries 2 may have been inferior to its predecessor, this song will forever live on as a testament to what could have been and as a true anthem for mercs everywhere.
