Mass Effect 3 DLC Leaked, Yanked from Xbox LIVE (BEWARE: SPOILERS!)

It seems Microsoft jumped the shark a bit when it inadvertently leaked Mass Effect 3′s first DLC offering. The content, which was spotted on Xbox LIVE’s marketplace was titled “From Ashes,” and what’s listed below could be considered spoilers, so read on with that knowledge in mind.
If you don’t want anything spoiled for you regarding the game’s plot – be it a minor or major one – I suggest you don’t read further.
The DLC will purportedly give players the chance to “unearth lost secrets from the past” and enlist a member of the game’s Prothean race.” Yes, that’s right. Commander Shepard will have a Prothean on his side for ME3. Why are they working with him? Who knows, maybe he offered Miranda in exchange for their services?
The leaked DLC was yanked from Xbox’s marketplace, but not before Kotaku managed to get a a screen grab of the thing.
To quell the din going about, BioWare associate producer Mike Gamble addressed the leak on the company’s official forums.
Hi all!
We’re happy to confirm that Mass Effect 3: From Ashes DLC will be available at launch for all platforms. For those of you who have purchased the N7 Collector’s Edition (including the PC Digital Deluxe Edition), you will get this content at no extra charge. We’ll have a lot more details for you later this week! Stay Tuned!
So, there’s going to be DLC for the game even before it’s released? Others are saying this is no different than Zaheed’s DLC or the Normandy Crash Site mission in ME2, but what do you think? Are you judging BioWare or EA harshly for doing this or should we be expecting things like these from now on?
