Earlier this week we reported that Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan had issued an offer and challenge to left-handed gamers via his Facebook page. Should the comment announcing the possibility of a Left-handed Naga Gaming Mouse reach 10,000 likes, the item would go into design and production, likely at a loss to the company. If this doesn’t evidence devotion to a fan base, I’m not sure what does.

It seems, though, that some of you southpaws are fickle. Many left-handed gamers have indicated that they really would rather just stick with their right-handed Nagas. Tan points out,

…we have limited resources here at Razer – designing/making a left hand mouse means one less other mouse/product that we can design – whether it’s an ambidextrous or a RH mouse as we’ll need to put our design team to it.

Despite that, it seems enough of you sinister types (and I mean that in the traditional sense of the word) want to get your MMO on in the comfort you deserve. Tan has just updated his Facebook page with this info:

You spoke. We listen. At Razer, the community is pretty much everything to us. Hell, we are part of the community (For Gamers. By Gamers. baby!) and I’m happy to announce that we achieved the 10K likes on the LH Naga in less than a week (and 3 more weeks to the deadline). Well, we’re going to make it. It’ll take at least till next year, but it will be done. Till then, keep those ideas coming!

We’ve also received the following information on the product features:

Tan took a big risk opening the door for fans to make their voices heard. Regardless of how this turns out financially, it’s simply impossible to quantify the intangible benefit that the good will of this gesture is generating for Razer.
