Eurogamer got wind of the necessary PC specs as well as some news on DLC for Capcom’s Street Fighter x Tekken, which is set to release later this year. The console version came out earlier this year, and I rated it very well in my review of the game. Let’s start with the numbers, shall we?

The minimum specs (at 800×600 resolution @ 30FPS) are as follows:

  • OS: Windows XP.
  • HDD: 10GB of free space (or more).
  • CPU: Intel Dual Core 1.8GHz (or higher) or AMD Athlon II X2 (or higher).
  • RAM: 1GB (or higher).
  • Video Card: DirectX 9.0c / Shader3.0 or higher compatible nVidia GF6600 (or higher) or ATi X1600 (or higher) with 256MB of RAM.
  • Sound: DirectSound compatible, DirectX 9.0c (or higher) compatible.
  • Input Devices: Mouse, Keyboard.

And the recommended specs (at 1280×720 resolution @ 60FPS) are:

  • OS: Windows Vista.
  • HDD: 10GB of free space (or more).
  • CPU: Intel Core2 Duo 2.60GHz (or higher) or AMD Phenom II X2 (or higher).
  • RAM: 2GB (or more).
  • Video Card: DirectX 9.0c / Shader3.0 or higher compatible nVidia GF8800 (or higher).
  • Sound: DirectSound compatible, DirectX 9.0c (or higher) compatible.
  • Input Devices: Gamepad (Xbox 360 Controller for Windows recommended).

In addition, it was revealed that the PC version of the game isn’t going to have the DLC shipped with the retail version (like it did with the console versions), but that it’ll end up being made available via a series of downloadable patches. However, you’re still going to have to shell out some money in order to make use of the DLC characters, unfortunately. It’s upsetting to see Capcom do this, but at this point in the game’s stage, they don’t have a choice other than to simply stay the course.
