With E3 less than a month away, leaks are inevitable.  Since Nintendo is the only company confirmed to be showing off new hardware with the Wii U, many are wondering what will debut with the system at this year’s expo.  Though this is only rumor, a leak from a UK Blockbuster has revealed a list of 25 possible games coming to Nintendo’s latest hardware. They may even be demoed in early June.

The list is as follows:

  1. Aliens: Colonial Marines
  2. Assassin’s Creed III
  3. Batman: Arkham City
  4. Darksiders II
  5. DiRT 3
  6. Formula 1 All Stars
  7. Game Party
  8. Ghost Recon Online
  9. Just Dance 4
  10. Killer Freaks from Outer Space
  11. Marvel Super Heroes
  12. Metro Last Light
  13. Monsters Party
  14. New Super Mario Bros. Mii
  15. Ninja Gaiden III
  16. Pikmin 3
  17. Rabbids Party Land
  18. Raving Rabbids
  19. Rayman Legends
  20. Shield Pose
  21. Splinter Cell 6
  22. Sports Connection
  23. Tekken
  24. Your Shape 2013
  25. Zombie

Now this is still total rumor, though a few of those titles listed have already been shown in trailer or demo form at last year’s E3, so it’s logical to assume those would appear at or near launch.  New Super Mario Bros. Mii is an inevitability, and if Batman: Arkham City came any time after launch it would be even more of an unnecessary version than it already is this late after its initial release.  Titles like Pikmin 3 seem a little less likely as we have seen nothing of the game so far (though that would make Wii U a day one pick up for me), but this would be a reasonably strong and varied launch list.  I think Nintendo would be crazy not to include a pack-in title to help bolster sales much like Wii Sports did.  I would assume Shield Pose is more likely to be bundled with other demos from E3 2011, including my highlight of the bunch, Chase Mii, rather than released to retail.

Of course, we won’t know for sure what’s coming before E3, but would this line up be enough for you at launch?  There are certainly a few strong looking titles on the list, but I don’t know if it’s enough to move systems with only New Super Mario Bros. Mii as a guaranteed mainstream hit.  Skepticism is running high with the system as it is, and if many of these games prove to be disappointments, Nintendo may have another struggle of a launch to contend with in the wake of the 3DS‘ post-launch doldrums.
