Rejoice, Oddworld fans! Stranger’s Wrath might be coming to the PS Vita very, very soon.
How soon? According to Just Add Water CEO Stewart Gilray… about ‘June’ soon. Development on the Vita began only a little over a month ago. So far, it’s apparently a rather easy port for Just Add Water:
“The guy who’s doing it had actually never touched a Vita before — he just plugged it in and read the documentation. He probably spent half a week reading the documentation and then the next week he already had the code running,” said Stewart.
The port’s expected to go into beta by E3 and will be out a few weeks later. Are you excited? I know I am.
Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath just hit the PSN last December, and my, it was a gorgeous port. I thought it was nice to see an update that actually had effort put into it for the first time.
I’m just hoping that Just Add Water is able to do the same for the Vita. Seeing as mine is short on software, it’s probably a buy for me once it hits the PlayStation Store. Although, if Just Add Water decides to add touchscreen control, which I think would greatly help with the aiming parts of combat, I’ll be 100% sold.
