Back in 2010, THQ brought Ukrainian 4A Games’ Metro 2033 to scare the bejeezus out of us with its dark, and richly atmospheric take on post-apocalyptic Moscow (we even have a video review to prove it). After the success of that game, the studio and publisher are gearing up for the next chapter in the series, Metro: Last Light, set to release in 2013.

They’ve shared with us a a new live-action trailer setting up the story and how humanity came to live in the transit tunnels. It’s not nearly as long as last week’s Ghost Recon Alpha film, but in the five minutes this one does last, it creates a thick mood of terror and desperation.

So, pop some corn and grab a beverage for this installment of the Weekend Movie.
