Today, Capcom announced that they’ll be bringing both the original Marvel vs Capcom and Marvel Super Heroes to Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network this September in a compilation pack called Marvel vs Capcom Origins. Both of the games seem to be being handled in the style of Street Fighter 3: Third Strike Online Edition based on screenshots that have been revealed. The presentation seems to be exactly the same, with game specific challenges earning you points to spend on optional goodies, like character and concept art.

So far, the games are confirmed to have online multiplayer using the popular GGPO netcode that supports up to 8-player lobbies, a spectator mode, updated graphics and the option to save your replays for later viewing. What makes this deal even better is that you get all of this for a price of $14.99/1,200 Microsoft points. Considering that you’re getting two upgraded fighting games for your money, this is shaping up to be a damn good deal.

Additionally, Capcom made mention on the Capcom Unity blog that the game will be playable at both EVO and San Diego Comic-Con, with a stream happening during the latter event. Once again, Marvel vs Capcom Origins is slated for a September 2012 release.
