A recent Kickstarter campaign headed by Adam “Keits” Heart hopes to bring the comical game Divekick to the PC. The title has gained an immense amount of popularity in the past few days, with over a third of the goal met with 28 days remaining. Divekick, as we posted about earlier, is a parody of fighting game characters that have overpowered divekicks, a move which dramatically alters a player’s jump trajectory in order to apply pressure to their opponent.

In this game, being hit by a divekick results in an instant KO, and with the only two buttons being “dive” and “kick,” the game moves exceptionally fast. Additionally, what other game do you know that has built in “fraud detection” to point out when a potential fraud (someone who both talks and loses big) is playing the game? Divekick may not offer more depth than some games, but for what it’s worth, it seems to be incredibly fun.

Go and chip in before time runs out! A donation of only $10 gets you a copy of Divekick upon its release. The Kickstarter page for the game can be found here.
